Anyone have any files for the newer T400 and T500's? I'm able to fix the T60's with the files that you provided but no luck on the newer Lenovo's.

T60 series. 5 in our shop all had problem. All have power-on and hard drive passwords set and Full Disk Encryption drives so nothing can be done to the drive outside of the system it belongs to. All our systems blue-screened in Vista Ultimate after Vipre quarantined these same related files.

My solution has been to use the Thinkpad Rescue and Recovery software to restore the operating system to a state prior to the 4th. This allows windows to boot up again. I then logged in and as described above, quickly try to disable Vipre and stop any scan in progress. After several variations on this theme and having to repeat it multiple times because the problem wasn't completely eliminated due to timing of def updates and scanning after the restore, I have settled on removing Vipre from the machine as soon as I can get logged in. I then restart, do a complete Thinkpad System Update and complete Windows update. This may be overkill but it has worked and I want to make sure there is no chance of the problem resurfacing. I will reinstall Vipre when/if my confidence is restored.

Now is not the time to pour fuel on the fire but Jesus H Christ Sunbelt! How many Thinkpads do you think are out there? A little (lot) more testing please!

yea, that happened to me also. One part of the Hotfix states that you have to redeploy the remote agent to your servers. Don't forget to redeploy the remote agent and restart the Exchange servers in question. I have not done that yet, but I'm hoping it corrects the 32 Mailbox Restore Display issue.

Well, it looks like Symantec is starting to kill what used to be a good product. Thanks for making us aware of the Exchange GRT bug; I had no idea. I'll have to go around all our clients and make sure that update it applied. Unbelievable. I do not have experience with EMC Networker or CommVault. If anyone does, please leave a comment. I would love to hear about it.
Thanks.
